No Friends in Fantasy Football League
The No Friends in Fantasy Football League (NFIF) may have officially launched in December 2024, but its roots run deep. Originating from New Era Fantasy Football, NFIF carries a 16-year legacy dating back to the founding of the New Era in 2010.
The NFIF is commissioned by Khader Mustafa, one of the original commissioners of the New Era and a longtime league member. While NFIF stands as its own unique league, it remains deeply tied to the New Era ecosystem.
Its roster includes several New Era Legacy members, such as Moonie, Fowzi, and Damen (commissioner of NE2K), along with Big Blue, Robby, Ehmed (NE2K), Mo Willy (formerly of NE2K, now in NFIF), Larry (one-year in NE2K), and Milhem, a newcomer to the New Era ecosystem.
The phrase 'No Friends in Fantasy' originated in the New Era and quickly became a hard lesson for everyone involved—there are truly no friends in this game. Whenever someone tried to scheme or things took a ruthless turn, we'd say 'NFIF' or call out 'No Friends in Fantasy.'
Over the years, it became more than just a saying; it was often the subtitle of the New Era est. 2010 logo. Most seasons, the phrase was even extended to 'No Friends in Fantasy... Not Even Cousins.'
Now along with the New Era, NFIF has evolved. Spearheaded by Khader Mustafa, the NFIF will have a identity of its own, a legacy of its own. Who will dominate and be the true Kangaroo of NFIF?
